Book Builder takes your locked message and produces a real, publishable manuscript — not a 12-page outline labelled "book". It opens as a three-mode Writing Room: Write, Design, Publish.
Write mode
- Distraction-free Focus Editor with autosave, session timer, word-goal ring
- Slash menu (/) for headings, scripture, callouts, images, citations
- Inline AI bubble — select a sentence, get a rewrite in your Voice DNA
- Command palette (Cmd-K) to jump chapters, modes, tools
- Find & Replace with live counter and Find Next/Previous
- Voice Drift detector flags chapters that stray from your saved Voice profile
- Find Sources — research 5–10 real citations (books, articles, sermons, scripture, web) grounded in the chapter's claims; accept or reject each one, and accepted citations roll into your bibliography on KDP export
- Preface — add a Preface section from the chapter sidebar's "+" menu and AI drafts a short, personal first-person note in your Voice DNA: why you wrote the book, what sparked it, what you hope the reader walks away with — no outline beats, no chapter-to-chapter bridge, never a chapter-preview list
- Foreword request — add a Foreword section from the same "+" menu; a foreword is written by someone other than you, so AI never drafts it. Instead, generate a personalised ask email plus a private preview link for the writer; when they reply, paste their words straight into that section's Draft editor
- Send this chapter — on any drafted chapter, hand its real prose to Stage, Course Builder, Speaker, Storyteller or The Disciple-Maker to repurpose into a talk, course, pitch, or small-group kit. A prompt also fires the moment a chapter hits its word target, nudging you to send it on
Design mode
- Two-pane workspace: thin tab strip (Cover · Typography · Front/Back Matter · Images · KDP Polish), full canvas on the right
- Cover Studio — pick a starting template (full-bleed photo, flat colour + icon, stark typographic, painterly), write your own palette/mood/concept/typography direction freeform, or skip AI entirely and upload a cover you already have. AI generation runs on Ideogram for cleaner title/author typography; tweaks and back-cover compositing (when an author photo is supplied) use Gemini
- Typography: trim size, fonts, drop caps, chapter openers
- Front & Back Matter: title page, dedication, foreword, about-the-author, also-by
- Image Library for figures, author photo, scripture cards
- True facing-page Spread Preview (gutter shadow, single-page fallback under ~820px)
- KDP Polish pass: generates cover-concept variants, back-cover copy in 3 lengths, A+ content blocks, scored keyword sets, and BISAC/Amazon categories — paste-ready listing copy, not a file-level preflight (margins/folios/page-breaks are handled separately by the print-ready PDF export)
Publish mode
- Shadow Read — AI critique flags weak chapters, drift, repetition, arc gaps
- Share Links — private read-only link for beta readers, no login
- Feedback Queue — capture comments inline, triage, mark resolved
- Endorsement Pack — personalised ask + blurb template + follow-up
- Audiobook — render chapters in your cloned ElevenLabs voice
- Launch Pack (Publish → Launch HQ) — 7 pre-launch nurture emails dripping over 21 days, plus 5 launch-window emails (T-7 / T-3 / Launch / T+1 / T+3), 30 social posts, 5 podcast pitches, endorsement asks, a landing page draft, and an audiobook script
- KDP Submission Checklist — pre-flight checks + every Amazon KDP form field pre-filled (title, subtitle, description, keywords, categories, pricing) + cover asset bundle, plus a link to open Amazon KDP so you can submit it yourself
- Free Print Copies (
/book/$id/print) — Accelerator members get 25 free printed copies of their book per title, shipped to a US or UK address. Enter your shipping details once your print-ready PDF is rendered and the order goes straight to fulfillment — no separate checkout. Anyone (member or not, and past the 25 free) can also buy extra copies on the same page at $8.99/copy via card checkout, same shipping form, same fulfillment pipeline. A print-fulfillment ISBN is auto-generated for these orders behind the scenes — this is for our printer's internal cataloging only, not a real, author-owned ISBN (see note below) - Distribute Wide (
/book/$id/distribute) — gets the book onto every other major store and library system (Apple Books, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, OverDrive). A guided, step-by-step Draft2Digital path (recommended — no monthly fee) with EPUB export, cover downloads, and copy-paste metadata, plus PublishDrive offered as a flat-fee alternative. You create your own account on their site and they pay you directly; we never submit on your behalf or store your credentials. Doesn't include Amazon — KDP only accepts direct submission, so that stays on the separate KDP Submission Checklist - A note on ISBNs — the ISBN generated automatically when you order Free Print Copies is a fulfillment-only identifier for our print partner's catalog. It is not a real, industry-standard ISBN that you own, and it won't carry over to Amazon KDP, Draft2Digital, PublishDrive, or any other store. If you plan to distribute wide or sell through multiple platforms under one consistent publisher identity, buy your own real ISBN — Bowker (myidentifiers.com) in the US (~$125 for one, cheaper in 10-packs) or Nielsen in the UK — and use that one everywhere instead
- Launch HQ (
/book/$id/launch) — dedicated workspace that assembles the full pre-launch + launch-window email sequence, social, podcast pitches, and assets into one place to review, edit, and export - Box-Sets (
/book/boxsets) — bundle multiple finished books into a series box-set with its own title, cover, description, and KDP submission flow
